I think we stand up against what’s happening at our local Councils, given they declared climate emergencies and follow United Nations Sustainable development gaols. We have absolutely no voice with Gov as they work for big business and technocrats. But we can stand up to local Gov through our councillors!! I know that’s still difficult!!

The more eagle-eared among you may have noticed that I referred to 'George Carney' rather than Mark Carney. Apologies. In a separate part of the interview (that didn't make the cut) I referred to a quote by George Carlin (the one about the big club we aren't in). I then referred to 'George' Carney, rather than Mark when I was discussing Carney's speech at Davos. Apologies.

Solid breakdown of the Microsoft-OpenAI dependency issue. The idea that cloud contract revenue is tied to speculative AI infra is kinda wild when you think about the actual demand certainty. I remember when SaaS margins were considered sacredthis feels lke a fundamentally different risk profile. The kill-switch mandate also caught my attention as another layer of centralized control infrastructure.
