We have had digital ID a long time when we renews driving licence, the passport, online banking, when we shop, most people use their phone, in the bus, train, plain or booking any holiday, all done online, buying anything and everything online. Now to be able to work, to file tax, to claim any services or the pension is digitised. They already have all the people data from NHS that was taken over by Palantir. Also the online banking shares all our data with ‘Open Banking Connections' means third party, the government and every one else who asks for it. Now all the dat will be in one place: an ID and it will be LEGALISED by law yet in recent years, we’ve seen so much hacking and stealing of the data and selling it on the dar web, including major retailers like Marks & Spencer, Co-op, and Harrods, Jaguar, Adidas and even Kido Nursery chain. Scary times ahead. I always said whatever was happening in Palestine: Genocide, killings, controlling food, water, electricity, internet, bombings, surveillance, spying is coming home to roost yet many just laughed at me and told me that they were not concerned about what’s happening in Palestine!
In my understanding the only successfull way to say No to digital identification of a man as a digital identity is to say No to digitalising of biological parts of the man's body - face, fingers, retina, blood - and record it as biometric personal data. I hear a lot of No to digital ID from different corners. There are even saings from politicians former and current. What I do not see is the doings. Since a while EU has started to colects biometrics for an identity "foreign national" from all people who is not part of this becon of democracy. "Foreign national" is the digital identity offered to the one who travel to EU. It exists in EU digital identification system EU EES. I assume thouthands of people have alredy enrolled and accepted (willingly or by missunderstanding) the digital identity "foreign national" as their own. Unfortunately I do not hear anyone who is saing No to this EU digital ID publicly. Have all politicians been currently excempted from it, I wonder?
Listen, comments are welcome. But I'd prefer comments to links to other sites or content.
Indeed, very concerning.
