The BBC and Bridgen
They're in a quandary
The BBC was obviously in a bit of a quandary yesterday as the biggest story, by far, was Andrew Bridgen being stripped of the Conservative whip. The reason this was a quandary was because they’re clearly not supposed to cover anything that might constitute criticism of the government’s Covid 19 vaccine policy - a policy that seems to be correlated with a significant increase in excess deaths.
Indeed, this isn’t just a UK phenomenon. By strange coincidence, my collaboration with Joel Smalley, resulting in the release of yesterday’s short documentary about post-vax Covid death increases across the globe, resonated all the more given the shenanigans in the House of Commons.
The BBC, in order to give any context to the nonsense anti-semite claims by Matt Hancock and Rishi Sunak, was forced to counter Bridgen’s vaccine claims by setting their hapless “fact checkers” to work.
The BBC article refers to the government’s own data on vaccine effectiveness - which is, quite honestly, woolly, nonsense. But this is enough for the BBC to claim effectiveness.
Because, let’s face it, there’s a big old argument that’s staring everyone in the face. Doing absolutely nothing is a very effective defense against Covid 19. The government’s own data makes no comparisons between relying on the body’s own defenses against a disease that represented very little risk to the able bodied. In this context, stating that the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines are 70% effective is utterly meaningless. Because, for most, innate immunity is 100% effective.
The only data that really matters is epidemiological. Post vaccination, what are the outcomes? And, it’s clear, based on the John Hopkins University data, as analysed by Joel, that more people are dying post-jab from the governments’ own definitions of Covid-causing-death post-vax than pre-vax. And, it’s clear that respiratory disease is still killing people in the UK. The government and NHS might be referring to this disease as Flu, or something else. But, clearly, some of those who have been vaxed appear to be left more compromised than they were prior to being vaxed. The interventions haven’t worked - and the policies of coercion around the world have done more harm than good. The evidence for that is clear.
The key point is comparative effectiveness.
