The New Era (TNE) has been active for around a year now. We’ve written dozens of articles, spoken at events, produced multiple videos, arranged a live debate in London, and now we’ve started a podcast series. The site and all the content was born out of lockdown and was a reaction to it. It was also a reaction to our loss of liberty and the imposition of coercion and control in place of democratic accountability.
We’re not a lone voice. We’ve supported the emergence of grassroots movements - like Together - and helped give voice to many of the most vocal critics of authoritarianism.
Yesterday we launched our first podcast (of a series) featuring an interview with the serial entrepreneur Luke Johnson. Soon we’ll be featuring further interviews, podcasts and monologues with - among others - Abi Roberts, Abir Ballan and Frank Furedi. And we have managed to do all this without any financial support.
But there comes a time when we have to remunerate our volunteers for their time, and cover their expenses. It’s for this reason that we’re now launching a Patreon page. Patreon allows you to become a patron of TNE and to donate a few quid. This will allow us to do more, write more, produce more videos and interviews and podcasts.
Here’s the link to our Patreon account.
We hope that we might arrange some special things for our patrons. Perhaps some ‘for your eyes only’ content or events. But if you can support us we’d be eternally grateful. And you’ll be rewarded with more wonderful thinking from the best free thinkers. Many thanks in advance.
